My mother has made so many new friends, and again, the residents that live there embrace newcomers with open arms. Everyone is genuinely friendly, not “fake friendly”, as I have seen at other places. The bottom line is this, once you have most of your daily needs taken care of, and you are in a stimulating environment with people that you come to call family, life is happy! There is so much more that I am not mentioning, you really have to see for yourself, take a tour, and find out the abundance of “extras” for yourself. We've been pleased with Oak Park Retirement.

Complete with exquisite residences and best-in-class care here you are known, invested in and catered to. I toured Oak Park Retirement Resort for my husband and it's an incredible location. It was very well-run, and they had a lot of activities. It was the first place that we visited in several years where people were coming up to us and saying how much they enjoyed living there.

Because I don’t drive, they came and picked me up. For our senior residents who are healthy and active, the independent lifestyle at Oak Park Senior Living offers many wonderful advantages. This situation is designed for seniors who are capable of maintaining their full independence, but desire the conveniences, social activity and security that community living offers. Our outside secure garden area gives our residents a place to walk or relax in the sunshine and smell the blossoms in spring. Our families overall experience is a five plus, and the staff members there are very friendly. The place is beautiful, the residents are all just very happy and active.

They provided good services, the rooms were clean. Oak Park Senior Living offers exclusive memory care suites with full 24-hour staffing. Trained staff members provide specialized activities and care designed to meet the unique needs of each individual experiencing memory loss.

Oak Park Retirement Resort was more like a hotel. The main reason we didn't choose them was because they didn't have nursing staff available. It was great, but it's not the place we needed for my parents. The apartments were very nice and new, they're even nicer than my parents' current room now.

The staff is very friendly, accommodating, very helpful, and always wanted to make sure to let them know what I need. For what they're asking, I felt, or my family felt, it was a good rate because it includes everything except for my phone, and I had to provide my internet. Oak Park Retirement Resort looked nice and bright. The people were very friendly, and everyone I talked to was just happy to be there. The facility had all of the amenities that one would enjoy.

Their apartment is a 2 bedroom, and the master bedroom is huge at about 15x30ft. They have two big walk-in closets and two bathrooms. The living and kitchen area are combined into one and it's very spacious.

But there's no way to get outside from the room. The place was great but it's not what we needed. The food looked really good there, and the cafeteria was great. It's a clean place, it's nice and the people we talked to were nice.

Time is spent every day sending out thoughts that you will stay well, at work and in your personal lives. In my 30 years of health care I have never worked with such a great nurse. I miss learning from her and her sweet, level headed, brilliant, and caring soul.

Before the virus the service was great! Got a menu each week to choose what you want. Could not have asked for such a more welcoming place for my mother in law. The staff and accommodations offered were excellent.

Thank you to all of the families that donated to our adopt a family tree! We take care of transportation to and from appointments and planned group outings which is very popular. The setting is small, hallways are short and most of all it’s warm and welcoming.

It was getting frustrating because none of them offered all of what we were looking for until we received a recommendation from a friend to look at Oak Park. You'll need to leave a little earlier from Cochem to reach FRA on your last day than you would from Koblenz, of course. It's about 2 hours with the fastest connections, 1.25 hours from Koblenz. Bacharach, though geographically closer than Koblenz, will cost you 1.50 hours to FRA anyway because of the train connections you must make. Mainz, Bacharach, and Cochem are not the only towns in the Rhein/Mosel area. If you want to see Burg Eltz and the Rhein castles (the Marksburg is the only authentic one; all the others were destroyed and rebuilt, except for Rheinfels, which is still a ruin), stay closer to Koblenz . Burg Eltz is a little "unhandy" to get to without a car, and I don't think it alone is worth the cost of a car rental.

The city centre is around "Römer", the Town Hall of Frankfurt, which originates from the 15th century. The medieval-seeming half-timber houses radiate a captivating charm. Further highlights of the city centre are the imperial cathedral St. Bartholomäus and the Frankfurt St. Paul's Church.

The local transit district, Verkehrverbund Rhein-Mosel (VRM, -info.de) consists of the area from Oberwesel, just down the river from Bacharach to Remagen, near Bonn, and up the Mosel beyond Cochem. You can buy an all day pass, a Gruppentageskarte for all of that area for €20, but you have to be inside the VRM to buy it. In a way, Koblenz is a good choice because it is kind of the "hinge" between the Middle Rhine and the Mosel. If you go from one to the other you have to go through Koblenz anyway, so why not start there?

Cochem is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't stay there. There are a lot of things to see on the Rhein , and it is too far away. However, in Cochem you might want to visit Weingut Rademacher. IMO it's not romantic at all - just a place to change trains at the confluence of the rivers. When in Frankfurt, be sure to take a nighttime stroll along the Main River and enjoy a dinner in one of Frankfurt's Apfelwein Taverns or many international restaurants. Since you will be on your honeymoon, you might want to consider spending one night in a castle hotel -- The Castle Hotel Schoenburg in Oberwesel is beautiful.
